Exclusive- Kundali Bhagya's Paras Kalnawat gets candid about Bhai Dooj celebrations: Her love and sacrifices have shaped me into becoming the man I am today
Bhai Dooj, Bhai Tika, Bhaubeej, Bhai Beej, Bhai Phonta, or Bhratri Dwitiya is a Hindu celebration that takes place on the second lunar day of the Shukla Paksha of Kartika, the eighth month of the Vikram Samvat Hindu calendar or the Shalivahana Shaka calendar. On this auspicious day, Kundali Bhagya actor Paras Kalnwat exclusively shared his memories and plans to celebrate this year with his sister.
Paras Kalnawat, who essays the role of Rajveer in Kundali Bhagya said, "My sister, Pragati Di, is five years older than me and has been settled in the United States since the last five years after getting married to my Jiju (Navjot Sharma). Bhai Dooj reminds me of her love and sacrifices, which have shaped me into becoming the man I am today. From convincing our parents to fulfilling my wishes as a child, to even giving up on her desires, she has always prioritized me. I can still recall the times during my struggling phase in Mumbai when I felt disheartened by the rejections, she would travel from Pune to Mumbai just to support me, stay with me, and lift my spirits while balancing her work."
Further sharing about his plans to celebrate the auspicious day, Paras said, "This year, although she's far away, she surprised me with heartfelt gifts, reminding me of all the beautiful moments we’ve shared. Bhai Dooj is a special day where I not only celebrate her love but also the immense sacrifices she’s made for me. I feel blessed to have a sister like her, and I’ll always work hard to make her proud."
