Samarth Jurel, who hails from Indore, came to Mumbai in 2018 to become an actor. After bagging his first show Udaariyan, he is back in another fiction show, Maitree.
Speaking to ETimes TV he said, “I used to play cricket professionally since childhood. My dad (Mukesh Jurel) wanted me to be a cricketer as he was a cricketer. I wanted to become an actor.
Till 19, I played cricket and then wanted to come to Mumbai. I told my father and even played cricket in Mumbai. In the morning after playing cricket, I would go attend auditions. I would be told at auditions that I got tanned. So slowly, I reduced cricket sessions. I would initially work on improving my acting and my skills developed.”
He further shared, “I got to do a few cameos and my family saw that I am doing a few works. The industry is very unpredictable and you have to work hard. I can’t rely on fate and have to give time to it.”
“I knew since the very beginning that acting makes me happy and I straightaway pursued it,” he said.
It’s been a month since he joined Maitree and plays the role of
Harsh.
