For me, since my childhood, this festival has been about waking up early for Saraswati Puja. She is the goddess of knowledge and learning, and worshipping her brings prosperity into homes. During this day, my mom used to ask me not to study or read anything, which was in a way holiday for us. She used to cook various delicacies and we used to enjoy our day to the fullest. Now, in Mumbai, we generally don’t get time to do all that, but we ensure to worship Saraswati Maa in the morning itself and then go for shooting.”
