Exclusive- Urvashi Upadhyay shoots in mental hospital says, "The current track of Mangal Lakshmi is full of emotions"
Actress Urvashi Upadhyay, who essays the role of Kusum Saxena in the television show ‘Mangal Lakshmi’, has shared her emotional experience of shooting the current track in which she suffers from a mental disorder.
She said, "The current track was an emotional experience for me. As in the story I was tricked and injected, restrained and taken by force to a Mental Hospital by Saumya (Jia Mustafa) and Adit (Naman Shaw) was in her influence. Mangal (Deepika Singh) was unaware of the same. I got up and it was scary, as a fire accident and people was running here and there. I was unaware of the fact what was going on. I shouted for help and found no one. Till the time I saw Mangal, who after a struggle finds out the reality of me being admitted in a mental hospital."
She continued, "It was a blessing for Kusum to have Mangal in her life. Like she was coming like a miracle. This was the most emotional scene I ever shot. I actually cried relating to the situation. I wish the day never comes to anyone's life. Though we were only acting the feeling was really scary. People actually fail to understand the importance of their parents till they are alive, ask someone who doesn't have them. Parents are always blessings to life."
Urvashi feels such episodes help society to understand the value of family and relationships. She added, "I enjoy essaying Kusum, the way her journey is written in the story, it will surely inspire the generation. It is very much important for the generation to understand and be kind to their parents. I feel TV stories make them realise and bring positive changes in the society."
She concluded sharing, "In the show, me and my daughter-in-law Mangal are fond of each other. Our bond is pure and inspiring. We understand each other and always take a stand for each other. The show is not the old-school saas-bahu saga. I'm happy that the audience is loving it and our show is doing great. I hope the audience showers the same love and appreciation in the coming future too."

Urvashi has been a part of shows like Ishq Subhan Allah, Ek Ghar Banaunga, Thapki Pyaar Ki 2 among others.
