Shrenu Parikh, who plays Goddess Parvati in the show recently revealed that this current storyline feels deeply relatable and resonates strongly at home.
Shrenu, who is married into a Maharashtrian family, has often heard about the Ashtavinayak temples. Shrenu reveals that watching the show with her husband has turned into a meaningful experience and she enjoys it a lot.
It has also brought the family closer, as her in-laws often share stories, traditions, and memories linked to the Ashtavinayak yatra.
Sharing her thoughts, Shrenu says, “I’ve heard so much about the Ashtavinayak temples after marrying into a Maharashtrian family and now I’m reliving those stories on screen. While watching this track, Akshay and I have been learning so many new details together about the temples, their legends, and what they mean to devotees.
What’s been really special is how my in-laws now sit with us and share their own experiences, rituals, and memories connected to the Ashtavinayak yatra. It’s become a shared family moment at home. That makes portraying these stories on screen feel even more personal and relatable for me.”
In an earlier interview, Shrenu had talked about the preparation and emotional process, she said, “Honestly, I was very nervous initially to portray such a powerful, divine character. But we had several workshops, and with practice, I think we found a balance where I could look like a compassionate mother and a Devi at the same time.”
