Gulki Joshi on Yaadein: The moment I saw Iqbal painted blue it became so difficult for me to stay serious
Yaadein has been keeping the viewers emotionally invested with its heart-warming storyline, light moments and Dr Dev Mehta’s (Iqbal Khan) journey of rediscovering himself after losing the memory of the last eight years including his divorce from his wife, Dr Srishty (Gulki Joshi). Meanwhile, the chaos at the hospital continues to grow as new medical mysteries appear, leaving the doctors confused and searching for answers. In the recent track, audiences were treated to an emotional gesture by Dr Dev who painted his face blue to comfort a blue-skinned girl and make her feel accepted, reminding her she is not alone. The scene was beautifully translated to screen but behind the scenes there was an atmosphere of laughter. Iqbal Khan's all-blue painted look had everyone on the sets in splits, especially co-star Gulki Joshi who couldn't keep a straight face while shooting their scenes. Getting the look right was a lot of work but when Iqbal walked onto set in full blue makeup the mood immediately lifted. The cast and crew couldn’t stop laughing between takes, which made for an emotional fun day of shooting otherwise.Talking about the lighthearted moments, Gulki Joshi shared, “The scene was actually very cute, the moment I saw Iqbal completely painted blue, it became so difficult for me to stay serious. Every time we started the scene, I would somehow end up laughing again. What made it even funnier was how seriously Iqbal was performing while the rest of us were trying so hard to control ourselves. Even during intense scenes, we always find moments that make the whole atmosphere light and enjoyable.
