Happu Ki Ultan Paltan actress Sonal Panwar came back to UP to spend time with her family on Diwali. The actress, who stays in Shamli, tells us, “Nothing has changed the way we celebrate the festival. It is about eating sweets, doing puja and people getting together. One thing that I really like and also did this year was to make rangoli, that is something I have always loved.”
Sonal points out that she has been coming back to her hometown for six years now on the day of the festival. “Festivity means connecting to your roots. When you work for daily soaps, you don’t get holidays so I would have come irrespective of the number of days that I could get as my off days,” she says and adds that she feels extremely lucky that people now recognise her as an actress. “It is such a nice feeling when people in my neighbourhood and city recognise you for your work. I am passionate about the craft of acting. I love what I do.”
