co-star Mansi Srivastava and she is delighted that Mansi has found the love of her life. Mansi tied the knot with photographer Kapil Tejwani recently and while Shrenu was a part of the guest list, she couldn’t be present for the entire wedding function. Shrenu shares, “I was really excited about Mansi’s wedding and we had great fun at her bachelorette party in Karjat.
Due to the third wave, they had to cut down on the number of guests. I was a part of almost all the functions but unfortunately, I couldn’t attend the main wedding function as I had to return to Jaipur to shoot for my show. That’s how an actor’s life is-had I not returned in time, the telecast would have been affected as we didn’t have enough episodes in the bank. But I have no complaints and it was great to meet my former co-stars after a long time.”
‘Mansi is like the sister that I always wished for’
Talking about her bond with Mansi Srivastava, Shrenu shares, “Mansi is like the sister that I always wished for. She has always been around when I needed her and her nature is such that everyone just loves her. Even at the wedding and the reception, she personally attended to all the guests and made sure that everyone had a great time.”
‘2021 was a fruitful year; I hope 2022 turns out to be like that too’
Talking about 2021, when she made a comeback on television after almost two years, Shrenu says, “The year 2021 was really kind to me professionally. I finally took up another TV show after a long time and also did web shows, which have been received really well. I watch a lot of OTT content and always wanted to be a part of good web shows. Doing OTT has given me a lot of scope to perform. I am grateful to God for a fruitful 2021 and I hope that 2022 turns out to be like that too.”
‘Initially, I was nervous about shooting in Jaipur’
Currently, Shrenu is shooting for her ongoing show in Jaipur and the show’s team has ensured that there is a strict bio-bubble in place. She shares, “When I first came to know that we would be staying in Jaipur for the shoot, I was a bit nervous about being away from Mumbai for such a long time. However, the team has taken great care of everyone and now, I have fallen in love with Jaipur. Even when we won’t be shooting here, I would love to come back to explore this beautiful city.” While Shrenu hasn’t been able to visit her hometown Vadodara in a long time, she says that her parents and younger brother Shubham visited her in Jaipur and that has helped. “I haven’t visited Vadodara since May 2021 but my parents and Shubham came to meet me in Jaipur and that really felt great. I miss Vadodara and Mumbai and feel homesick at times, but you have to make certain sacrifices when you are in this profession,” she says. Asked about the experience of shooting amid a pandemic, she says, “Of course, it’s a very different experience and we are taking utmost care on the sets. Having said that, actors have to take off their masks during a shot and we don’t have a choice there. It’s natural to feel a little nervous but then, the show must go on.”
