Chandan Prabhakar, who is known for his role as 'Chandu chaiwala' in The
Kapil Sharma Show, won’t be a part of it. While promos from the upcoming season have featured him in the cast, the actor will not be seen.
While speaking to an entertainment website, Chandan was quoted saying that he is not a part of the show and there is no particular reason for it. He included saying that he wanted to take a break.
Chandan Prabhakar has played many roles on Kapil’s show, the most famous being 'Chandu the chaiwala'. He also played the characters of Hawaldaar Harpal Singh, Jhanda Singh, and Raju.
He has been associated with the show for a very long time and is a good friend of Kapil. Apart from Chandan, Krushna Abhishek had also turned down the show reportedly due to monetary reasons. Talking about the reasons for his quitting the show, a source had earlier told TOI exclusively, "One of the major concerns was the fee. Eventually, monetary differences prompted him to leave TKSS."
Bharti Singh will also be seen very less in the show and shared that she won’t be a regular. With her baby Laksh, Bharti is currently hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (Li’l Champs 9).
The Kapil Sharma Show, which will premiere on September 10, will see a host of new faces this time - Srishty Rode Shrikant Maski, Sidharth Sagar, Gaurav Dubey and Ishteyak Khan. They will be seen alongside Sumona Chakravarti,
Kiku Sharda, and Archana Puran Singh.
