If everything had fallen into place, fashion designer Mohit Kapoor would have been a part of the ongoing 17th season of Bigg Boss as a contestant. He has been associated with the reality show for many years, albeit as the stylist for contestants from various seasons. He has styled Umar Riaz and Visha Kotian in Bigg Boss 15, Gautam Singh Vig and Archana Gautam in Bigg Boss 16, and Soniya Bansal in Bigg Boss 17.
Talking about why the deal may not have materialised, he says, “I was approached to participate this season, and I even auditioned for it. I am not sure why it didn’t work out. Perhaps, the makers will reconsider me in the future. If I get a chance, I would love to be part of the show and I am certain that I would emerge as a strong contestant bringing plenty of drama for sure.”

Well, that’s his approach as a contestant. What about as a stylist? Sharing the key aspects, he keeps in mind while styling someone for the show, he mentions, “There are numerous factors I must bear in mind while styling a Bigg Boss contestant because the show is watched by people nationwide and globally. I need to make sure the outfits I provide are incredible, well-designed, and match both the show’s standards and the contestant’s personality. I always make certain that the outfits don’t sparkle excessively on camera and try to incorporate the latest colours as per the requirements. I also ensure that contestants feel comfortable in the outfit in front of the camera, especially when interacting with Salman Khan.”
In the ongoing season, he appreciates how Ankita Lokhande and Munawar Faruqui are playing the game inside the BB house and feels they are stronger than the rest. He shares, “I am not supporting anyone, but I like Munawar’s gameplay. I also like how Vicky is conducting himself inside the house. He is quite entertaining.”
