Himmanshoo & Amruta to go on their honeymoon six months after their marriage

Himmanshoo Malhotra and Amruta Khanvilkar, who performed consistently throughout this season of the dance reality show Nach Baliye, impressing the judges and the viewers, credit their victory to love of the people and their choreographers’ hard work.

Himmanshoo says, “Everyone knew how well we performed, but we weren’t sure if we had a chance against Upen-Karishma’s popularity from Bigg Boss or Rashami-Nandish’s chemistry.I met Amruta on a reality show Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004 and this was our second reality show. I think our victory is a result of positivity, because people voted for us. When everyone in the world wants you to win, things do fall in place.”
While Upen-Karishma got engaged and Rashami-Nandish spoke about their troubled relationship on the reality show, Himmanshoo-Amruta did not have any such thing to share. The actor says, “I am protective and guarded about my family to speak about my personal life on a reality show. I can never be comfortable doing that on a reality show. While everyone has their way of portraying themselves on a reality show, I kept away from any such revelation or talking about my personal life.”
Ask the two if they are expecting a new direction to their career and Himmanshoo replies, “You are judged by your success. Victory is temporary, it fades away. It is people’s love that is important. Today, I am successful, so even foes will turn friends. I don’t see this as a boost to anything in the future. I don’t plan my life and just like I got a phone call for Nach Baliye after my marriage and rest became history, I will wait for good things to happen.”
The couple, who got married in January 2015, will now go for their honeymoon. Amruta says, “Himmanshoo loves to travel, so we can go anywhere. But we are planning to go to Australia and New Zealand, let’s see how things work out.”
