Actor-couple Salonie and Viraf Patell became parents to a baby girl on September 24. Understandably, Viraf is on cloud nine. He says, “I always wanted a daughter... I’m ecstatic! When I held my little girl, it felt like she touched my soul... we are under her spell now (smiles). My dad was exactly the same age as I was when my baby was born. I do feel that in some way my child and my late father are connected.”
He further shares, “I’m sure Salonie will make a fierce mom because she has surprised me with her courage and she is also nagging me constantly about how to hold the baby!”
Salonie, who has acted in the web series Khalbali Records, says, “The baby has my complete focus now.
I have forgotten about everything else and am just happy to hold her and make her sleep next to me. I plan to take a three-month break before I can get back to work.”
On the work front, Viraf was seen in Pathaan, Taish and the Gujarati film Kutch Express. “I plan to resume shooting for my upcoming project in a few weeks,” he concludes.
In an earlier interview to BT, Salonie said, "Viraf has wanted this for a long time, and I can already see the joy fatherhood will bring him. I will not take a break from work after the baby is born because I have a good support system. Viraf is a great help at home and I enjoy him pampering me with good food.”
