ActressSonyaa Ayoddhya, known for her roles in TV shows like Nazar and Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, has confirmed her divorce from entrepreneur Harsh Samorre. The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, finalised their separation last month.Speaking to us, Sonyaa opened up about the emotional toll that the breakup took on her. She said, “Divorce is awfully painful, it is heartbreaking. I never thought this would happen to me. I have chosen peace over conflict and I don’t wish to give it more time and energy than I already have. I am focusing on healing, learning and moving forward with my life.”Reflecting on what went wrong, the actress emphasised the importance of mutual effort in a marriage. “It can’t be just one person giving, the other has to do it too. It’s important to strike the right balance in a marriage,” she shared.On the work front, apart from TV shows like Shakti, Sirf Tum, Sanjog, Nazar and Kasauti Zindagi 2, Sonyaa was seen in web series like Kill Dill and Fuh Se Fantasy. “I’m fully focused on my work and looking at taking up some interesting roles across mediums,” she said. She said, "I want to bag interesting roles in TV. I am enjoying working in OTT shows, too. In the past few years, I feel there are interesting roles for women in OTT shows.In TV I had an important role in Kasauti but I feel my role was meatier in Nazar. I want to play different roles."
