Thapki Pyar Ki 2 premiered its second season on October 4 last year. The show will now be going off air in the first week of April. It had just a six-month run and the cast and crew is naturally disappointed, given that season one had done very well. We spoke to lead actress
Prachi Bansal, who plays Thapki on the show. She said, "It really makes me sad that the show is going off air.
I wish it had continued for some more time. I don't know the reason behind the show going off. May be the story had come to an end and hence the channel decided to take it off air."
For Prachi, it's even more upsetting because she joined the show just obe month ago. She replaced lead actress Jigyasa Singh to play Thapki. "It's just been a month that I joined the show, so it's more upsetting for me that the show is going off air so soon. When I joined the cast of the show, there was a lot of pressure on me. So I was just busy working all day. But more recently, I got closer to my co-actors and was spending time with them. It has been realky nice. But sadly now, it will come to an end," she shared.
Tomorrow is the last day of their shoot and everyone is naturally emotional. But when asked about her plans post Thapki,
Prachi said, "I haven't got the time to audition for other roles as of now. Tomorrow is the last day of our shoot. So may be after that I will start looking for my next project. I have always waited to get a good role and this time too, I will wait for that good opportunity to come my way."
