Jayati Bhatia on her bond with Sasural Simar Ka co-stars Dipika Kakar; says 'I've seen Dipika's separation phase and her love story with Shoaib'
Jayati Bhatia, who shares a close bond with her Sasural Simar Ka co-stars Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, recently spoke about her association with the couple and their journey together. In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, the veteran actress recalled witnessing Dipika grow closer to Shoaib during the end of her first marriage. She also shared that Dipika Kakar stood by Shoaib Ibrahim’s family back then, and today, Shoaib and his family are supporting her through her ongoing health challenges.
Speaking about Dipika, Jayati praised the 'Bigg Boss 12' winner, calling her a strong girl: "First of all, she’s a very strong girl—she has immense inner strength. But many times, when we keep calling someone ‘strong,’ we forget that they also need support. People say the same about me too, without realising that I also need love, care, and someone to hold my hand at times. By constantly labelling someone as strong, we unintentionally make it harder for them to express that they need help or affection. That said, I’ve always been very fond of her since the beginning. I still call her Simar. Even when I message her, I end up addressing her that way. For me, it’s actually quite difficult to call her Dipika—I have to consciously remind myself.”
Jayati Bhatia further shared that she has witnessed Dipika's personal life closely. Whether it was her first divorce or her love story with Shoaib Ibrahim, the seasoned actress has been part of Dipika's journey. "When the show started, both Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim were quite vulnerable, and I’ve seen that phase closely. I’ve also seen how they slowly came together as a couple, even during the time when Dipika’s first marriage was ending and she grew closer to Shoaib," she said.
She expressed her admiration for Dipika and Shoaib's bond and said, "I’m really proud of how far they have come. Their bond has become so strong over time—I didn’t expect it to grow like this, but it makes me very happy to see them standing by each other. Their relationship only keeps getting stronger. The way Dipika cared for Shoaib’s family, and now the way Shoaib and his family support her, is truly commendable.”
