Megha Chakraborty, who was last seen playing the lead in the show Imlie, shares how she is happy to take a break. The actress had not visited her parents in Kolkata for a year now. She says, "I had not seen my parents for a year. I am happy to spend time with them now in Kolkata."
On the work front, Megha played a mother to a five-year- old in Imlie. She says, "Initially, I was sceptical about it. But eventually I gave in because many actresses my age on TV are now playing mothers due to leaps in shows."
She adds, "I had a misconception that once you play a mother, you start getting offered similar roles. But that is not the case anymore I realised."
Megha also shares how she was disappointed when she first got to know about the leap in the show. It was upsetting because her role would come to an end. She says, "There was an initial disappointment but then I came to terms with it. Of course, when you grow attached to the show and have given your best, you want the show to go on for a little longer. Also, after every show ends or if there is a leap, there is a new struggle that begins for the actor whose track is over." Currently the show has taken a leap again and Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy are playing the new leads. The show has a completely new story now.
