Actor
Krish Chauhan feels delighted to enjoy the opportunity to meet actress Dipika Chikhlia, fondly remembered for essaying Goddess Sita in Ramanand Sagar's 1987 television series
Ramayan.
Krish has been a part of historical and mythological shows ever since he entered the field of acting.
He said, "It's not just me, I feel every Indian resembles her to be Goddess Sita. I grew up watching her.
For me, every time her face appears in front of my eyes whenever there is a talk about Sita Mata. My dear friend Shagun Singh, is currently shooting with her for the show Dhartiputra Nandini. I went to meet her on set, with a strong intention to see Dipika Ma'am in real life and the moment was very pure and memorable"
In 2019, Krish had essayed the lead role of 'Kush' in the mythological drama Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush. He revealed that during his show, he used to find inspiration from Dipika Chikhlia.
He shared, "I played Kush, the youngest son of mother Sita and my role received a lot of appreciation. I remember seeing my picture kept in a temple. But not many know how to prepare myself for the role and get into the situation of being divided between parents. My mom used to make me watch the old Ramayan. And watching Dipika ma'am, I used to feel the pain making my performance more real. I made sure to do justice to Kush as I'm a follower of Shri Ram."
He concluded by saying, "I enjoyed a fan moment as she was my inspiration. Her love, hard work and dedication to the role of Sita are still visible. It's mystic that our characters are so linked with each other, and when I met her in person the feelings were the same and yes it’s true nostalgia hits hard."
Krish exclusively shared with ETimes TV, his love mythological and historical dramas, " Historical shows have become my forte, and I believe in a motto, 'It is my kingdom and I am only one, it isn't like I want to only do historical and mythological shows or not do social dramas, I would like to explore them both but I love portraying the historical legends and I believe it is important to know their stories, especially for the youth to understand the rich history we hold."
Krish currently essays the role of Male Rao Holkar in the historical show Punyashlok Ahilyabai.
