Rajita Kochar joins 'Kawach'

The cast of soon-to-be launched TV show ‘Kawach’ is getting stronger with every new entry. The latest update is that the makers have roped in veteran actress Rajita Kochar to play the maharani of a haunted haveli. Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya will be seen staying in the same haveli.

When contacted, Rajita confirmed the news, “Yes, I will be seen in a positive role of a maharani.I wouldn’t know the details of my character since I have not started shooting for the show.” Incidentally, actress Falguni Desai was originally cast for the part.

‘Kawach’, which will feature Mona and Vivek as the lead couple and Maheck Chahal as the evil aatma, will replace the popular series Naagin. Apparently, Maheck returns in Vivek’s life as an evil aatma to claim her unrequited love. The show marks her acting debut on the small screen.
