Ram Kapoor, an actor, recently made headlines for losing almost 55 kg in just 18 months. On the other hand, he was around 140 kg during his prime television years. Ram admitted in a recent interview that it is quite challenging for performers to succeed to that degree in the modern era while being overweight. He did, however, use Smriti Irani, a coworker, as an example of someone who disregarded this and succeeded more than he did in spite of her weight. "She was my size as a woman and probably more successful than I," Ram stated in an interview with Humans of Bombay. "It is just that she left earlier, and that was Smriti Irani," he continued.Ram Kapoor revealed that Smriti Irani's appearance when she first appeared on the show in 2000 and her final appearance at the end of the show in 2008 were very different. He shared, "When she started Kyunki Saas and when she ended, she was huge. Her logic was, 'Now I have played a character who has taken so many leaps. Now I am playing a grandmother.' So you see her from the first year of Kyunki to last year, you will notice that she is as big as I am. We were equally successful."He also shared, "I have even spoken to her about this. She was just staying true to her character. When she entered the series, she played just a wife, then she became a mother, then the show took several leaps in its eight years of run.
She allowed herself to become bigger. If she had continued in television, she would have probably been much bigger than I. She left because she joined politics, and she is doing great."Also See : Ram Kapoor opens up about on how rich TV stars are; says 'Ronit Roy has vacation homes, Sakshi Tanwar has saved for generations' "Now, if a guy my size wants to make it big, it will be difficult," the actor admitted in the same interview.
