OTT reality show Rise and Fall has been grabbing attention with its dramatic episodes and engaging segments. Contestant Arbaz Patel, however, has found himself in the middle of a controversy after a recent clip from the show went viral.
In the episode, Arbaz was seen telling fellow contestant Dhanashree Verma not to hug other male participants and instead give only side hugs. Dhanashree immediately responded, saying that she enjoys greeting people with hugs and would continue doing so. The moment sparked discussions online, with many viewers criticizing Arbaz’s possessive behavior towards her.
Fans on social media did not hold back and began trolling Arbaz for what they called “controlling” actions. Several also pointed out that this was not the first time he had displayed such behavior, calling it a repetitive pattern in every reality show he has been part of.
Fans quickly flooded social media with mixed reactions to the viral clip. One user wrote, “Arbaz should focus on the game, not on controlling who Dhanashree hugs.” Another user commented, “Poor Nikki, she doesn’t deserve to see this kind of behavior.” Meanwhile, a fan defended Dhanashree, writing, “She handled it so gracefully, her confidence is way above Arbaz’s insecurity.” Yet another user added, “Every show, same pattern with Arbaz… this is nothing new.”

Nikki Tamboli. The two have been together since their Bigg Boss Marathi days, and fans believe his closeness with Dhanashree is disrespectful to Nikki. Many expressed disappointment, saying his bond with Dhanashree doesn’t sit right given his commitment to Nikki.
While Arbaz continues to stay in the spotlight for his gameplay, it seems his off-screen dynamics and on-show behavior are raising bigger questions among fans.
