When Sahil Anand learned that he had to go shirtless for a particular sequence in Ek Nayi Umeed — Roshni, he left no stone unturned to look fit for it. He underwent a rigorous workout routine, followed a strict diet to look perfectly toned on-screen. Unfortunately, the plot was changed at the eleventh hour, and the actor was informed about the cancellation of the bare-body sequence.
In Pics: TV actors who dared to bare it all When contacted, Sahil said, “To justify the bare-body scene, I decided to give up on some of my favourite foods, followed a disciplined diet and a strict workout regimen. I even went off water for three days just before the shoot. But after 45 days of hard work, I got to know that the sequence was cancelled due to some technical issue.”
Was he disappointed that the scene was scrapped? “Yes,” said Sahil, adding, “I felt bad when I heard that the plot had changed as I had put my soul and sweat into it. But I firmly believe that whatever happens, happens for the better. At least, I started hitting the gym on a regular basis, which I had stopped because of the hectic schedule. I am sure that if not today, I will get a chance to flaunt my body in future.”
