Sanam Johar and Abigail Pandey bow out of Dance reality show Dance Champions

The latest show Dance Champions which is the ultimate test of Dance between the best performers of the nation has been the talk of the town ever since it went on air. The show witnessed many popular winners of other dance reality shows as Champions and runner ups of dance reality shows as Challengers. The battle between the two will decide who’s the ultimate Champion and goes through the toughest dancing test.
However, Dance Champions, has hit a hurdle within a week of it going on air.Remo had roped in the runners-up of Nach Baliye 8, choreographer Sanam Johar and his actress-fiancée Abigail Pande, as one pair of contestants. But the duo bowed out even before they could begin shoot.
A source close to the development reveals that the makers wanted one of the Nach Baliye Jodi’s on board but an injured Sanam had to be replaced at the nth hour by Sushant Khatri, a Dance Plus contestant. “Sanam has still not recovered completely so Sushant will stay on. Meanwhile the format of the show is being tweaked a bit to make way for a new challenger every week after Sanam and Abigail quit.”
Confirming the news Abigail told Mumbai Mirror, “Sanam was injured while trying a new lift. He has a recurring back problem which flared up after a year. There’s still a lot of swelling and it's still quite bad. He can walk around but doing lifts and other steps needed in a dance competition is difficult. We were part of promotions but have been unable to shoot any episode since. Let's see how it goes.”
