Shivangi Joshi's guilty pleasure: Cartoons, Barbie films, doing absolutely nothing
Television actress Shivangi Joshi has revealed her simple guilty pleasures, saying that she still enjoys binge-watching cartoons she loved as a child.
The actress on the podcast titled 'Honestly, Why Not', shared that shows like 'Oswald', 'Noddy', and 'Doraemon' continue to be her comfort watch even today.
Along with cartoons, Shivangi also enjoys watching 'Barbie' movies, saying these feel-good choices never really go out of her life.
Asked if she has a guilty pleasure or a hobby that she indulges in secretly, the actress said: "Guilty pleasure? Yes, I do. I mean, I binge-watch.. And that too cartoons. Jab main choti thi, jo main tab cartoons dekhti thi. I like watching Oswald, Noddy, and Doraemon."
"Yeah, even now. Aur Barbie movies aur yeh saari cheezein main abhi bhi dekhti hu. And also, when I'm not doing anything, I like to do nothing. Sleep. And do nothing. Just be in my room and do nothing," she added.
The 27-year-old actress began her television career with a cameo appearance in 'Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi' and later made her full-fledged acting debut in 2013 with 'Khelti Hai Zindagi Aankh Micholi.'
The actress was then seen in shows such as 'Beintehaa', 'Begusarai', 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.' She then portrayed Anandi Chaturvedi in 'Balika Vadhu 2' and 'Barsatein - Mausam Pyaar Ka.'
She was recently seen in 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 4,' the fourth installment of the 'Bade Achhe Lagte Hain' franchise. It featured Harshad Chopda and Shivangi. The show explores themes of healing from past trauma, trust, and the messy reality of love when intertwined with revenge, with plot points involving fake marriage complications and parental disapproval.
In the same podcast, the actress spoke about her take on love and dating.
"According to me, what truly matters is the person, the respect, understanding, love, and values they bring into a relationship. The profession really doesn't matter," said Shivangi.
