Simple turns simple!

Remember the chirpy, bubbly girl from Shararat or the snobbish high class fashionista from Yeh Meri Life Hai?? Well, the uber chic babe Simple Kaul will now shed all gloss and glam and turn really ‘simple’ on her show Saas Bina Sasural.
Ask her about her case of Poo turning Parvati and she says, “A good actor is one who shows variations in his/her act.Just because I suited the roles of a bratty up-class girl or a modern hi-fi babe, I started getting monotonous offers. I had been consciously making efforts to break the mould and I’m glad that I finally got to prove my mettle with Saas Bina Sasural where for the first time I play a salwar kameez-clad girl, which is a far cry from the ones I’ve done in the past.”
And it doesn’t end here. Another break-through in Simple’s career is Adaalat where she plays a sari-clad, sindoor-donning woman married to a politician double her age. “Yes, that’s true,” says Simple. “I feature in one of the stories of Adaalat where my role is very potent, serious and very mature. It’s a power-packed role. The episode airs today and I’m sure the audience is going to love me in this avatar too,” she adds.
