Sindoor Ki Keemat actress Ashita Dhawan joins Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharam Patnii; says she feels fortunate to be balancing two shows

The year seems to be ending on a high note for Ashita Dhawan. While she is enjoying her stint on Sindoor Ki Keemat, she has bagged a pivotal role in Pyar Ke Saat Vachan Dharam Patnii. She shares, “What’s exciting is that my characters in both the shows are different from each other. Sindoor Ki Keemat is set against the Bhojpuri backdrop, so, I speak in that dialect.In Dharam Patnii, I play a Punjabi character. What’s common is that I will keep the entertainment quotient high (smiles). Every actor wants to do good work aur ek waqt per do alag alag kirdaar nibhaane mil jaaye toh aap aur kya hi maangonge.”
Ashita had almost quit Sindoor Ki Keemat to explore new opportunities, but the makers works out her dates in a way that she will be able to shoot for two projects without hassle. She shares, “My contract with the makers was up for renewal and I expressed the desire of moving on and exploring as an actor. They readily agreed and told me to take up another show. They also said that they would adjust my dates so that I was able to balance both shows. I am glad that they respected my decision, allowed me to grow, and didn’t hold me back.”
She adds, “It’s a blessing to be able to do two shows at a time and I am the fortunate one. I know I will pull it off well. I am taking this challenge head-on. My kids are lovely and have a supporting family. Fortunately, both sets are 10 minutes away from my home.”
The actress is excited about working in Ekta Kapoor’s show (Dharam Patnii) after almost 17 years. She says, “I was a part of Kesar and Kayamat but that was way back in 2005. I have waited for 17 years to work with her again.”
