Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's Disha Vakani gives birth to a baby girl

TV actress Disha Vakani, who is much loved as 'Daya' on the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, was blessed with a baby girl on Thursday morning (30th November).The actress, who had tied the knot with Mumbai-based Chartered Accountant Mayur Padia in November 2015, had been a busy bee with the shooting schedule throughout her pregnancy period.It's only on her doctor's advice that she took a break. It is said that her mother-in-law had reportedly accompanied her to the shoots to look after her.A daily reported that her delivery date was sometime in the third week of December but she delivered the baby a few weeks earlier. Both mom and daughter are doing well and would be discharged from the hospital soon. The actress is undecided as to when she would resume work as she wants to spend some time with the little bundle of joy.Disha's costar Gurucharan Singh, who is seen as Roshan Singh on the show, confirmed the news.On a related note, ever since the news of the 39-year-old actor pregnancy had surfaced, there was a rumor that suggested that she might be replaced by a new face on the popular show. But the producer was quick to nip that in the bub by clarifying that they would plan the story accordingly to cover for Disha's absence.On Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, that has been on the air since 2008, Daya is shown as the mother of a 14-year-old boy (played by Raj Anadkat) and TV actor Dilip Joshi plays her husband, Jethalal Champaklal Gada.
