The 50: Archana Gautam opens up about facing physical abuse during her relationship; says 'aise pairon se maarta tha'

Archana Gautam, popular for her cheerful personality and lively presence, recently spoke about the difficult and traumatic past experiences. The actress, in an episode of 'The 50', spoke about facing physical violence in her past relationship. During a conversation with Yuvika Chaudhary, Archana revealed that her ex-boyfriend often hit her during their relationship.

Archana said, "Main itni bold dikhti hoon, par pyaar mein main kamzor hojaati hoon."

Yuvika replies, "Ye Pyaar nahi hota hai, koi aapko joote chapplon se maare woh pyaar nahi hota hai."





Archana further revealed, "He wasn’t even that good-looking, you know… I was the one who groomed him. I turned him into a hero. I spent 24 hours focusing only on him… doing everything for him. From what underwear he would wear to which T-shirt he should put on — I handled it all. I even bought him 100 pairs of new clothes."

She added, "After doing so much, what did I get in return? Only physical abuse. I can’t even describe how brutally he used to hit me — kicking me mercilessly. In hotels, when I would threaten to scream and call people for help, he would beat me even more. Once, he assaulted me so badly in front of another girl that she got scared and ran away."

Archana also revealed that she was in depression due to the traumatic relationship: "I had completely lost my mental stability during that time. I’ve only recently managed to come out of that dark phase," she said.

Yuvika comforted Archana and said, "Do you really call it love if you’re constantly living under someone’s control? The most important thing is to love yourself before you lose your mental health. Only when you begin to value and care for yourself will you find the strength to walk away. I truly wish I had known you back then — I would have helped you get out of that toxic mess."
