This has happened for the first time on the sets and we don't want it to become a practice. This needs to be stopped, it is quite shameful for the Film Industry so now we are keen on having a meeting with the producers and looking into it.
I had an off on (December 24) and I got a call that something has happened to Tunisha. I knew the set was quite far so I took my bike and decided to go as I knew aunty was alone. I reached there and saw aunty was there alone with just a family friend and cops. The moment I entered, Tunisha was lying there in front of me. I have seen her and she has been a family friend and suddenly to see her lying in front of me lifeless, it was heartbreaking. She was just 20
Things are much more defined than they were before and those days of 16 to 18 hours work shifts are gone. These days, actors do get the time off and working conditions are changing. However, I feel that we should do something about the mental health of people in our industry since stressful situations are prevalent in every field of work.
It is sad and disturbing to see young actors taking such drastic steps in life. Even when I came to Mumbai from Madhya Pradesh, I went through my share of struggles. But stayed strong with the help of my family and kept working hard. I feel that when someone slips into depression, they should seek help from friends and family because that is something that has helped me too.
