In stark contrast to her on-screen persona as a compassionate mother, Rupali has been accused of being “psychotic” and allegedly engaging in an extramarital affair with her husband, Ashwin K Verma, while he was still married to his second wife.
While Ashwin has issued a statement addressing the allegations, Rupali has so far remained silent. Ashwin Verma, wrote, "I do have daughters from previous relationships—something Rupali and I have always been open about that I care a great deal about. Who is Ashwin Verma?
Ashwin K Verma, a prominent figure in the advertising world, married Rupali Ganguly in 2013. They welcomed a son in the same year. Before his marriage to Rupali, Ashwin had been married twice. His first marriage remains largely private, but details about his second marriage to Sapna Verma, a former Miss Karnataka 1986, have surfaced online. Ashwin and Sapna married in 1997, lived in New York, and had two daughters before divorcing in 2008.
About Esha Verma
Esha Verma, now 22, is the elder daughter from Ashwin’s second marriage and resides in New Jersey with her mother and sister. She is a Rutgers University-New Brunswick alumna. In a public statement, Esha accused Rupali of having a long-term affair with Ashwin while he was married to her mother, calling her “a cruel-hearted woman” who allegedly sought to separate Ashwin from his daughters.
She claimed, “For twelve years, Rupali had an affair with my father, even as he remained in his second marriage. She is nothing but controlling and psychotic.” Esha went on to describe alleged threats from Rupali, saying that the actress would prevent her from speaking to her father and threatened her when she visited him in Mumbai. “She told me, ‘You’ll regret it if you ever try this again.’ I was afraid to visit India and couldn’t stay with him for more than two days,” she alleged.
