Yeh Vaada Raha Completes 100 episodes

ZEE TV's primetime drama Yeh Vaada Raha, which explores a unique bond between two souls bound by a promise - Karthik (played by Ankush Arora) and Survi (played by Sonal Vengurlekar) has struck a chord with the audiences. The show recently completed a run of 100 episodes and the cast and crew called for a cake to celebrate the occasion on the sets. The entire cast and crew decorated the sets, put up a variety entertainment programme and feasted on some mouth-watering delicacies.

Ankush Arora who plays the male protagonist Karthik, played the guitar and sang a couple of songs including the title track of their show 'Yeh Vaada Raha', 'Kyunki Tum Hi Ho' from 'Aashiqui 2' and 'Dil Sambhal Ja Zara'. Rinku Karmakar, who plays the role of Taai wasn’t far behind and put up a dance performance on the song Ghagra from 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani'. The team was also seen having a ball over a fun game of antakshari.

Sharing his excitement Ankush said, “It’s been a very fulfilling and enriching journey. I have got so much love from the audience and every member of our cast and crew. I like coming for shoots as it’s like shooting with one’s own family. I feel lucky to have got this opportunity to work with industry veterans like Rinku ji. Each day is a learning experience and I am really grateful to the channel and makers of the show. I just hope the audience continues to shower us with love’’.
Actor Rinku Karmakar further adds, ‘Everybody on the sets puts in so much effort and hard work, so the milestone and its celebration was well-deserved. Despite having acted for so many years, I still don’t think I know it all and this character of Taai has really challenged me as an actor. We’ve brought out her shades of eccentricity and portrayed it like never before on television. I give the entire credit for the success of the show and the character to the makers. Everybody working on and off-screen is fabulous and very dedicated. Hope we soon complete a successful run of 500 episodes.’’
The current track sees Karthik and Survi consummating their marriage despite Taai’s repeated efforts of tearing the couple apart and harming them.
