"At times people say they wish to see us getting married in real life," Puttakkana Makkalu fame Sanjana Burli and Dhanush

Puttakkana Makkalu's Sneha and Kanti have turned out to be one of the most-loved on-screen jodis on Kannada television. Be it Sneha's class or Kanti's mass, the actors, Sanjana Burli and Dhanush have managed to strike a chord with the viewers for their performance. In fact, their love track in the show has been much talked about in recent days.
ETimes TV got in touch with the actors to know more about the much celebrated on-screen couple and much more.

"Well, it is indeed a rough phase for Sneha and Kanti right now in the story. But, I can assure you one thing, there are a lot of interesting tweaks and turns awaited in the upcoming episodes of Puttakkana Makkalu. I'm sure viewers will enjoy it. On the other hand, I am happy that Sneha and Kanti are receiving much love from the viewers."

"Being a debutant, little did I know that an on-screen character would get connected to the viewers this early. It feels surreal and at the same time, I am enjoying playing Kanti. There are quite some similarities between Dhanush and Kanti in real life. So, It's more like playing my own self."

"Sneha and Kanti are a blend of class and mass. They seem to have set an example to many young lovebirds. Many have also come up to us and actually said that they wish to care and love their special person just like Sneha and Kanti. On the other hand, there are times when people say that they wish to see us getting married in real life. In a way, we are happy that our on-screen characters are being well received by the audience not just in reel life but also in real life," share the actors.
They added, "We have been giving our best in bringing out that spark between Sneha and Kanti throughout the show. And, yes! seeing the response from the viewers, we feel we have given complete justice to our on-screen characters."
Having said that, Sanjana and Dhanush went on to say, "Viewers have accepted our combination whole-heartedly. In fact, be it youngsters or even middle-aged groups or the oldies, the first question we literally get to hear from everyone when are individually out in a public place is the absence of each other. Viewers literally want to see us together always."


"Sanjana is very supportive and I feel the bond between the co-actors in real life plays a very pivotal role in bringing out the chemistry between the on-screen character we portray," shares Dhanush.
The duo added, "We bonded during our acting workshops for Puttakkana Makkalu. In fact, we were even given tasks to bond. As part of our workshop, there was one task where we were asked to step out and beg on the streets without disclosing that we were actors. Maybe, that task helped us get along better."
They signed off by saying, "Our journey as Sneha and Kanti has evolved in a beautiful way. Right now, we discuss our scenes and work on showing them better. We also share feedback and work on improvising for the upcoming shots. I guess all of these become an add-on while acting. Hence one can actually find that spark between Sneha and Kanti on-screen."
