Exclusive: Bigg Boss Kannada: From Kiccha Sudeep’s special cameo to telecast, all you need to know about the upcoming 'Mini Season'

Bigg Boss Kannada is all set to return with its 'Mini season'. The reality show will be featuring popular actors from various shows of the channel airing them. 15 celebs will be gracing the reality show for a total number of 15 days. Ahead of the opening of the season, ETimes tv got in touch with Mr. Parameshwar Gundkal, the business head of the channel airing the reality show to know more about this mini season.
An experiment
The 'Mini season' of Bigg Boss Kannada is considered to be an experimental one. The reality show will feature fifteen celebs who have been part of the fiction shows from the channel airing Bigg Boss Kannada. While the viewers have always known these celebs with the on-screen characters they portray, the mini-season of Bigg Boss Kannada is an attempt to introduce their lesser known off-screen persona.
Episode banking
The celebs, who have entered the Bigg Boss house, have already shot for the upcoming episodes of their respective fiction shows. So, there will be no changes in the ongoing fiction shows from the channel airing Bigg Boss.
Timings
Although Bigg Boss Kannada 'Mini season' was earlier slated to air during the weekends, the makers have now decided to air it on weekdays also. The reality show will air at 10:30 PM on weekdays.
Covid-19 protocols
These celebs, who are taking part in the Bigg Boss Kannada mini-season, have also undergone strict RTPCR tests. They have also been on strict observation for more than three days before entering the BB house.
The Task-master
Host Akul Balaji will be entering the Bigg Boss house as the 'taskmaster'. He will be taking the initiative of organising the tasks assigned by Bigg Boss. Akul was earlier a part of Bigg Boss Kannada season 2 and also emerged as the winner.
Awards and rewards
Unlike the usual format of Bigg Boss Kannada, the mini-season will not have any winner announced during the conclusion. The contestants will be given special awards based on their performance inside the BB house. It is likely to be known as the 'Family awards'.
Return of Kiccha Sudeep
Bigg Boss Kannada host Kiccha Sudeep will be making his appearance only for the climax of the mini-season. Sudeep will be hosting the finale of the reality show. The final episodes will be airing on August 28 and 29.
