Former Bigg Boss Kannada season 4 contestant and Kannada actor-host
Kirik Keerthi, needs no introduction. The actor has been very vocal when it comes to his love for his motherland and mother tongue.
As September 14 is observed as '
Hindi Diwas', Keerthi took to his social media handle to share his opinion about the same.
In his recent social media post, the ex-BB Kannada contestant questioned, "Celebrating Hindi Diwas is fine.
No one is opposing it. But celebrate it only in the states of India where Hindi is their official language. Why do we have to celebrate here? (sic)”
In the post, he added, "If at all one wants to celebrate Hindi Diwas in all states, then celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava and the other special days related to the respective languages in different states across India also has to be celebrated nationwide. This would be fair enough"
Keerthi concludes saying, "None of us are against celebrating Hindi Diwas. It needs to be understood that no one should forcibly influence others to celebrate the special day. No Language is greater than the other. What matters here is only the love for our Motherland and Mother tongue (sic)”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Keerthy stood as runner up in Bigg Boss Kannada season 4. He returned to the small screen with the reality show for kids 'Kannadada Kanmani'. He has also been a part of the cookery show 'Cookkuu with Kirikku'.
Currently, Keerthi is seen as a contestant with the couple-based reality show 'Jodi No. 1' along with his wife Arpitha Keerthi.
