Magalu Janaki went off air abruptly. Were you disappointed?
It’s been weeks since the serial went off air and fans are still not happy with the

show

ending abruptly. In fact, they started an online campaign demanding that the show be back on television. It would have been nice if it had ended with the right climax.

You are making your

Sandalwood debut

with Bhavachitra. Tell us about the movie...
It is based on travelling and is ready to hit screens. When we recall the nostalgic memories of life, the first thing that strikes us is the face of a person and then the moments we spent with them, connect to the present circumstances. This is the theme of the story. It is a suspense thriller movie.

Going forward, will you concentrate only on films or will you return to the small screen?I never thought I would enter television, but it has laid a platform for my career. Right now, I am not so interested in doing television shows. I am looking forward to doing quality roles in films, but that doesn’t mean I am desperate to act in movies. It’s been exciting to work in a film which has introduced me to

new people

and has exposed me to new experiences. The entire journey in television and films is keeping me alive.

Nathuram

was supposed to be your debut vehicle…

The script

was wonderful so I agreed to be part of the project. I don’t know the exact reason why it was stopped. There might have been some technical issue, so they might start shooting again.

Tell us more about your passion for dance...
Tired of too many ads?go ad free now
It is only because of dance that I am able to do something in my career. Since school, I loved to dance and it became a passion as I grew older. Without dance, I can’t even think about myself.

You have been posting pictures doing yoga on social media. How has yoga helped you in life?
Yoga is essential for everyone considering the current situation. We all face artistic depression so to counter it, pranayama comes in handy.

Trekking is your other passion?
Travelling in nature and trekking are my other interests, besides acting. I must mention an incident when Raghu Ramappa didn’t want to join me a trek as they felt girls have less stamina. But I proved them wrong by completing the trek successfully.
