"Make-up is a personal choice and not a public issue," says BB Kannada 8 evicted contestant Dhanushree on being trolled for her make-up routine

Bigg Boss Kannada season 8's first evicted contestant, Dhanushree's make-up routine created a huge buzz among the housemates. During her stay in the Bigg Boss house, the TikTok star was seen doing her hair and putting on make-up even before she could go for her bath. Although Manju did confront it about the same in the show, it became a topic of discussion inside the glasshouse.
Dhanushree's co-contestant Prashanth Sambargi too made remarks about the same inside the BB house.Speaking about it with ETimes TV, the evicted contestant said, "I do make-up more often and I like to have it on my face all the time. So, Prashanth sir has only told the fact and there is nothing wrong in speaking the fact.”
She continued saying “He made comments on me having makeup for several times. He might have had a problem with it, but this is how I am in life. It is always his opinion. But the fact is I love the way I am and most importantly, I am very comfortable with it. I am not here to live for his expectations."
Dhanushree's makeup routine not only become a topic of discussion inside the BB house but also became a fodder for trolls.
"I don't do my make-up to impress others. Makeup is a personal choice and not a public issue. I want to look presentable wherever I am. Being on a reality show like Bigg Boss, of course, it is important to look groomed. Even my parents also look forward to seeing me in a presentable manner on-screen," she mentions.
Adding to it, she said, "Yes, I did come across a lot of trolls regarding my makeup. Frankly speaking, trolls do not bother me. I don't understand why some people are reacting in a way like I have committed a crime. Having makeup on my face keeps me happy. As I said, it's totally my choice."
Having said that, she mentioned "It is quite common for an eyeliner to get smudged when you cry. But I never expected that it would become a fodder for trolls. It was not a make-up faux. I don't understand how people can be this narrow-minded for simple make-up."
Talking more about the issue, Dhanushree mentions that her mother is disturbed by the trolls.
"Although I am taking the trolls on a lighter note, my mother is a little upset with it. This is something new for her to handle. I have not got the proper time to talk to her about it. But I am sure I can make understand it."
She further signs out saying, "Of course, it is obvious for people who are not aware of my lifestyle to pass comments. They can't judge me only by seeing me on a reality show. On the other hand, people who know me are being very supportive. They are happy with my performance and that's all I need."
