From monitoring body temperature to early pack up: Team Manjil Virinja Poovu resumes shooting amid Corona scare

Malayalam TV is gaining momentum back after a gap of two months. Due to COVID 19 outbreak, TV shoots were stalled from March 19 and now they have resumed the same following government guidelines. As per the guidelines, TV shoots have resumed indoor shoots with a maximum of 25 people on the sets.
However, team Manjil Virinja Poovu is all excited to be back in shoots.In an exclusive interaction with ETimes TV, the stars expressed their concerns and thrill on the same.
Rekha Ratheesh who plays Mallika Prathap in the show is happy that she is finally able to meet her kids (on-screen kids). But, she is also worried about the technicians who are losing their jobs due to the restrictions.
"It is a sort of relief that we are resuming shoots once again. Even though the condition is getting worse in the state, we are supposed to do this. The team is taking all the safety measures and we feel secure. But, it is sad that a number of technicians are losing their income due to the restrictions. Sadly, it is the need of the hour," Rekha shared.
From taking temperature check of all artists and crew in regular intervals to packing up the shoots by 7 PM, Manjil Virinja Poovu team is strictly following all the norms without fail.

"We artists can only remove the masks in front of the camera. Hand sanitizers and temperature checks are a must. We are provided with separate food packages. I had initial fears on how we would be able to start the shoots in this situation, but seeing the steps taken by the team, we feel safe," Akhina who plays Suja in the show said.
Talking about meeting his on-screen family after staying alone at his home during the lockdown days, Manu aka Yuva Krishna expressed that he feels relieved "I was all alone during the lockdown period. The moment I saw my co-stars, It felt like seeing my own family. We miss the whole family here, but happy that we could try our best to entertain the audience amidst the hard times,"
