Marimayam: When ration shops have e-banking
Popular sit-com Marimayam has always managed to entertain the audience. While it tickles the funny bones through the contemporary subjects that it brings forth, it also prompts the audience to think for a while.
The latest episode shows the central characters introducing an e-banking system in their ration shops. Soon after being linked to Aadhaar and the like, the people of the town start finding it a hassle, as many of them first fail to get access to it because of the bad network as well as the things they want to get from the shop.
They are seen saying that they have installed it to curb the rampant corruption that prevail in such places. How they tackle the problem forms the rest of the story.
Though it is quite funny at times, it also throws light on the real life scenario.
