Akshaya Naik celebrates Holi with Sundara Mana Madhe Bharli family; says "It made me realize to hold onto people in the present"

Marathi and Hindi TV actress Akshaya Naik is currently winning a million hearts with her performance as Latika in her show Sundara Mana Madhye Bharli. The actress has been away from home from the past few months and is currently shooting in Nashik. Akshaya celebrated Holi with the star cast of Sundara Mana Madhye Bharli and shared a lengthy note on social media about the celebration.The actress also shared that she learnt to hold onto people who are there with her in the present.

Akshaya wrote, "I grew up in a joint family where my cousins became my first friends. I do not remember a single festival which we did not celebrate at home. The beauty of Indian festivals is that it brings people closer. As I grew up, my family started distancing, people moved to different parts of the city and a few abroad. But that one thing that keeps us all bounded together are festivals and special occasions. I have n. no. of memories when it comes to holi; be it with my cousins from childhood or my college friends. Festivals for me are a great way to compensate and catch up with my loved ones. This year holi was different - away from home, family and friends. I did not go riding on my two wheeler with my best friend from Worli to Goregaon and meet all other friends on the way and put colour on them. I could not enjoy the holi party I usually do in my colony.

She further added, "I was away from home, but not from my family. I celebrated holi this year with my SUNDARA FAMILY 😇 It made me realise, that as you grow you will distance yourself at some point or other from your beloved ones. What is important is to hold on to the people you are in the present and make the most of each moment you get with them. You're doing nothing, but creating memories. I laughed, I danced, I ate, I went all bonkers, but celebrated HOLI like very year - HAPPILY !!!!!"
