Singing Star to air a special episode on Marathi folk music soon

Popular singing reality show Singing Star will have a special episode on Marathi folk music soon. The contestants of the show like Anshuman Vichare, Abhijeet Kelkar, Pournima Day, Aastad Kale, Girija Oak Godbole, Yashoman Apte, Sankarshan Karhade will entertain the audience with by their performances on the folk songs. Various types of folk music like Povada, Abhang, Lavani, Bharud will be performed on this stage by the contestants.

Anshuman will present 'Vinchu Chawla'.While Archana will be performing on Lavani, Yashoman will sing Abhanga. Sankarshan Karhade will perform on Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Povada and Girija Oak will perform on Gaulan.

Anshuman Vichare is paired opposite popular playback singer Juilee Joglekar. Abhijeet Kelkar will be seen with Kavita, Pournima Day will pair up with Mandar. Also, Aastad Kale - Savani Ravindra, Yashoman Apte- Sharayu Date, Sankarshan Karhade - Ketaki Bhave, Girija Oak- Hrishikesh are some of the contestants of the show.
Recently, a few contestants of the show Singing Star tested positive of COVID-19 and recovered completely from it and joined the show once again.
Singing Star is a competition between the actors who are also very good singers. Here actors perform various songs on the stage and receive stars from the judges according to their performance. Music composer Saleel Kulkarni, playback singer Bela Shende and actor/producer/singer Prashant Damle are judging the show. Actress Hruta Durgule is the host of Singing Star.
