Bigg Boss Tamil 5: Thamarai Selvi bursts into tears as she reveals about her first unsuccessful marriage and how they 'manipulated' her son against her

Thamarai Selvi, the first captain of the house, narrated her life story during her turn in the ‘Oru Kadhai Sollattuma’ task. She narrated her struggles during childhood, her personal and professional life.
Thamarai said she had to sacrifice education and start working as a stage performer to support her family with parents and three other siblings. She added that she had to face many insults, verbal abuse and stand many odds to financially support her family.
Thamarai also shared how her marriage dissolved after having a son (Sivaraman) due to alleged harassment from husband and in-laws. She then spoke about her second husband Parthasarathy who proposed to her but didn't take care of the family post marriage. She thanked her mother-in-law for standing by her in running the family.

Thamarai broke down talking about her son Sivaraman and how she isn't allowed to meet him. She alleged that her former husband's family has manipulated Sivaraman against her so much that he doesn't like to talk to her over the phone too. Thamarai stated that she entered Bigg Boss Tamil 5 to share her painful story and also popularise folk art.

Abishek said that he wanted to see Thamarai as the winner of the season. He added that she is destined to reunite with her son.
