TV show Baakiyalakshmi to premiere on March 16

Baakiyalakshmi, a new TV serial premieres on March 16, 2020. Baakiyalakshmi features Suchithra (as Baagyalakshmi), Satish (as Gopinath), Velu Lakshmanan (as Chezhiyan), Vishal (as Ezhilan), Neha (as Iniya), Rajalakshmi (of Raja Rani fame as Eshwari), Veena (as Radhika), Rozario (as Ramamoorthy), Sreethu (as Annie) and many others in prominent roles.
Baakiyalakshmi is directed by Sivasekar, who also directs the show Pandian Stores.Venkatesh handles the cinematography and music is scored by Kiran.
Baakiyalakshmi comes up with the caption, ‘an untold story of a housewife’. The story of Baakiyalakshmi is the tale of a mother whom we see in our daily life. It is the story of one such mother who does everything to her family but hardly gets recognised or acknowledged by her family members.
According to the story of the serial, Baakiyalakshmi is a homemaker. She lives in the city with husband Gopinath, three grown-up children Chezhiyan, Ezhil and Iniya in a joint family. Hence, her father in law and mother in law also stay along with them.
Baakiyalakshmi takes care of all the needs of everyone in the family, based on their likes and dislikes. But, no one in the house cares for her or reciprocates her love and affection.
Baakiyalakshmi is an excellent cook, who is born and brought up in the village. Hence, she isn’t well versed in English. Though she speaks fluently in many other languages except English, she is considered inferior in her house, due to the dearth in her English knowledge. Her family members, who socialises well with the so-called high-class friends, disrespects Baakiyalakshmi and snubs her frequently. But she doesn’t feel unhappy and never bothers to feel bad about the negligence of any sort.
All of a sudden, to Baakiyalakshmi’s dismay a shocking incident happens in her life, which stuns and pushes her to take a very profound decision. What is that one thing that shook her and how she evolves herself from it and how she changes into a different personality forms the story of the show Baakiyalakshmi.
