Karthika Deepam written update, May 31, 2018: Mounitha plans to kill Adithya’s unborn baby

In the latest episode of Karthika Deepam, Adithya and Shravya drag Soundarya into their room to show her life-size portrait hung to the wall. Soundarya is overjoyed by this endearing gesture.Meanwhile, Mounitha is agitated about Adithya promising to give his unborn baby in adoption to Karthik and Deepa. She informs the same to her uncle. He is happy that god has been kind to Deepa. Mounitha shares her vicious thoughts to kill the unborn baby. Her uncle tries to put some sense into Mounitha’s brain but she doesn’t give a hoot. However, she eventually promises not to kill the baby, indirectly hinting to mastermind the killing.Meanwhile, in the interest of the well-being of Shravya’s unborn baby, Deepa gives saffron to Malathi (their housemaid) to mix in the milk set for Shravya. Mounitha notices this and decides to use it to her advantage.Bhagyalakshmi and her mother remind Muralikrishna about his responsibilities towards his pregnant daughter Shravya. He is worried about Deepa’s life at her in-law's place.While talking to her husband, Soundarya expresses her displeasure over Adithya’s decision to give away his first child to Karthik and Deepa. In the process, she humiliates Deepa. She pledges not to permit this adoption. Deepa who overhears this conversation is deeply hurt by Soundarya’s hurtful comments and decision.In the meantime, Mounitha has already poisoned the saffron (that Deepa gave Malathi). She is seen slyly witnessing Malathi take the poisoned milk to Shravya’s room. Shravya initially refuses to drink milk, however, Adithya convinces her into drinking it.
