TV anchor Harshavardhan arrested for blackmail

TV anchor Harshavardhan, who has made quite a name for himself from crime shows, has landed in big trouble. He has been taken into custody by police officials in Vijayawada for blackmailing the management of a dental college. Harshavardhan had reportedly threatened the management of the college that if they don't pay him a ransom of Rs 5 crores, he would air a negative programme on their college.
For a while, the management was apparently in talks with him and were even ready to offer him a lower price; however, Harshavardhan didn't relent, according to some reports. Finally, the management approached the police officials, who nabbed Harshavardhan after a raid in a hotel in Vijayawada and even recovered Rs 1 crore from the TV personality. The anchor is expected to be formally arrested after the initial round of interrogation.
