Mohammad Athar, PwC India, hailed the interim budget presented by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and said, “The budget has maintained its consistent focus on infrastructure spending as a key driver for enabling India’s competitiveness as a destination for investment. With overall outlay of 11.1 lakh crore, this budget has a very strong focus on transportation infrastructure. Focus on railway corridors, new vande bharat trains and specific focus on higher allocation for old infrastructure.”
