Bengaluru riots: Police invoke UAPA against 61 accused

The Bangalore police probing the riots that occurred on 11 August have booked 61 accused under the UAPA. Over 400 people have been arrested in connection with the riots during which the mob burnt down two police stations, the home of the Congress MLA as well as several vehicles. The mob was enraged over a facebook post by a nephew of Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy.
