Iran has signalled a significant escalation in its military posture, with claims of large-scale mobilisation and preparations for a potential ground confrontation with the United States. According to an informed military source, Tehran has mobilised over one million fighters amid growing concerns of a wider conflict. The mobilisation reportedly extends beyond regular forces, with a surge of volunteers joining recruitment centres linked to the Basij, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and Iran’s conventional military. This suggests a broader effort to expand manpower in anticipation of a prolonged or large-scale engagement.
