UP govt suspends 6 types of allowances to employees amid nationwide lockdown

The UP government has suspended 6 types of allowances to state government employees. This includes the DA given to state government employees and pensioners. The suspension will remain in effect from April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021. This order has been passed in view of the economic losses incurred due to the novel coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown. This will have an impact on over 16 lakh state government employees, including teachers and other officers.
