Ex-BARC CEO got lakhs to manipulate TRPs: Mumbai Police in remand note

The Mumbai Police have claimed that the former CEO of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) Partho Dasgupta, who is under arrest in the TRP scam case, got lakhs of rupees from Republic TV to manipulate TRPs in its favour. As per the Mumbai Police remand note Dasgupta misused his position as BARC CEO and manipulated TRPs in favour of Republic TV. He received lakhs of rupees over a period of time to manipulate TRPs to benefit Republic TV and Republic Bharat channels.
