Gujarat’s sprint queen Sarita Gayakwad is a more confident athlete now

Gujarat’s Sarita Gayakwad, who was part of the Indian team that won the gold medal in the women’s 4x400 metres relay event at the Asian Games in Jakarta recently, says that she is no longer scared about big events. She told us, “During the Asian Games, I was pretty nervous. But after that gold medal, I am no longer nervous about big events and I will be a more confident athlete at every event from here. This result shows that I am on the right track and I will work even harder to ensure that I can keep India’s flag flying high.”
