Recently a play titled 'Jannat Se Jaun Elia' was staged for theatre lovers of Lucknow at Sangeet Natak Akademi. The play was based on the idea of famous Urdu shayar Jaun Elia going to heaven and meeting there with Mirza Ghalib, Daagh Dehlvi and other great Urdu poets. Actor Kokab Fareed, who played the role of Jaun Elia, was also the director of the play, which was written by Anwar Maqsood.
